With fund generously donated by Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, Yan Chai Hospital Jockey Club Care & Attention Home was officially put into service in 1999, it was the first self-financing Care & Attention home of Yan Chai Hospital. To meet the needs of aging society and development of innovation and technology in Hong Kong, it was successfully approved and donated again by Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust in the early 2016 to fully upgrade the software and hardware of the institute, to create a quality home with adopting a wisdom management and making use of innovative technology facilities. The home officially resumed service on July 2018.
- Aged 60 or above
- Elders who have poor health and lack of self-care ability, and need institutional care.
Environment: 2 levels with 60 residential places, owning spacious living space. Single room to quintuple room with separate toilet, each resident has his/her own TV so that they can enjoy their own entertainment in high privacy. Using of natural lighting design, floor-to-ceiling windows are installed in all rooms and halls to reduce power consumption. By using the air purification system of unique and advanced NCCO Oxygen Polymerization Air Filter Nanotechnology, it is the first home to receive the “Excellent” Indoor Air Quality Certificate issued by the Environmental Protection Department.
Services Provision: The home provides 24-hour nursing care and personal care services, as well as visiting medical doctor、physiotherapy、occupational therapy、meals、social & recreational activities、and transport services.
Innovative and technology facilities: Elderly Home Management System(EHMS) which make use of electronic technology to help the daily operation more efficient and accurate, as well as the Smart Elderly Home System (SEHS) which make use of smart and innovative technology to provide both independent and safe residential living. Apart from these, the rehabilitation equipment is all replaced by advanced and high-end equipment for mobility and cognitive training. The last but not least, is to make our service users have feeling of being respected and their family can feel at ease.
