Yan Chai Hospital- Hong Kong Baptist University Chinese Medicine Clinic cum Training and Research Centre (Ha Kwai Chung) Ha Kwai Chung Chinese Medicine Centre outside1

Situated in Ha Kwai Chung Polyclinic and Special Education Centre, the 6,000 ft2 Yan Chai Hospital cum Hong Kong Baptist University Chinese Medicine Clinic cum Training and Research Centre (Ha Kwai Chung) is furnished with 7 consultation rooms, 3 acupuncture rooms, an assessment room and a Chinese medicine dispensary.  The clinic provides general out-patient services and specialized out-patient services (including Internal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Oncology and Acupuncture).  This clinic is among the few which provides specialized Chinese medicine oncology services in Hong Kong.  Specialized out-patient services are delivered by experienced Chinese Medicine Practitioners from Hospital of T.C.M. in Mainland China.

Additionally, same as the Yan Chai Hospital - Hong Kong Baptist University Chinese Medicine Centre for Training and Research (Yan Chai), a computerized and centralized database system has been developed in this centre for a more efficient management of medical records.  The clinic is equipped with a 24-hour temperature-and-humidity-controlled herb storage room for keeping 590 different types of Chinese herbs and granules.  In order to meet the diversified needs of patients, we provide both traditional Chinese herbs and concentrated Chinese medicine granules.  Modernized herbal decocting and packing machines have also been installed to offer more convenient and efficient services to the patients.

In order to fulfil the rising demand and needs for Chinese medicine services, the clinic is dedicated to broaden the variety of services provided such as professional outreach acupuncture teams to serve patients in elderly homes and Lai King Building of Princess Margaret Hospital. We are also cooperating with Princess Margaret Hospital to provide Integrated Chinese-Western Medicine (ICWM) Pilot Programme in Cancer Palliative Care. Our other areas of service include tackling Behavioral Disorders among children (including Autism, Learning Disorder, Attention Deficit, Hyperactivity Disorder, etc.), providing workshops and free health seminars as well as free Auricular Acupuncture services to low-income patients
